SRU Culture Exchange 2013

Within the approval of Svay Reing University management boards, Research and Development Office held a culture exchange with some universities from the Republic of Korea which took place on July 6, 2013 with approximately 300 participants including deans, lecturers, staff, and both SRU and Korean students. The occasion was presided over by the HE TUM Saravuth, Rector of Svay Rieng University.

Starting from an overview introduction about Svay Reing University presented by Mr CHHAY Veasna, chief of Research and Development Office, it then followed by various traditional and popular dances performed by both side students such as Rom Vong, Rom Kbach, Coconut Shell Dance and Gangnam Style.

It is worthy noticing that SRU and Korean students had been enjoying strengthening friendship through the exchanging of communication via e-mails, Facebook and other social networks. Having conducted a number of indoor and outdoor group discussions, both students had the sense of warmth and closeness. Finally, the program finished by a photo session and souvenir exchange.

Not only does the event provide students the opportunities to build up friendships, but also to acquaint with the diversity of cultures and to enhance their English abilities. This can be considered as the contribution to the global peace.
