UEC The University - Enterprise Center (UEC) is establised under the support of "ERASMUS+ project - Heightening University-Business partnerships FOR smart and sustainable GROWTH in Asia (HUB4GROWTH)" with 12 partner HEIs from Asia and Europe.The purposes of the centre are:
- Providing training and seminars in relation to student employability.
- Develop entrepreneurial skills in students as well as stakeholders.
- Cooperating with local and international private enterprises and other partnerships on job opportunities.
- Establishing a network platform linked with enterprises and Svay Rieng University students.
- Researching and presenting results involved in the job market and its requirements.
- Providing counselling to students on job vocation opportunities and their specializations.
- Collaborating with SRU faculties and departments, alurnni, student association, and other partners in relation to student employability, student capacity building, tour visîts, study
visits, and internship program. Activities: -Created Facebook page of UEC to disseminate job announcement, information of UEC
- Conducted survey on graduate employability and enterprise requirements
- Presented UEC to Cambodia Microfinance Association - Organized Career day at SRU collaborated with National Employment Agency and private enterprises
- Presented UEC to Manhattan Special Economy Zone in Svay Rieng province.
- Study visit Nisset Café start-up and entrepreneurial course training at RUPP - Student orientation with the management team and faculty members
- Training on job hunting

- Updating course curriculum program knowledge-based enterprise needs
- Continuous organizing short course trainings, seminars to university students

The Career Day is organized by the University-Enterprise Centre (UEC) of Svay Rieng University (SRU) collaborating with the Job Center of Svay Rieng province to give students the opportunity to find work.
The Career Day under the theme of "Job Opportunities and Internship" held at SRU on July 9, 2017 was presided over by His Excellency Tum Saravuth, Rector of Svay Rieng University and Mr. Hem Puthi, Head of Job Center of Svay Rieng Province.
HE. Tum Saravuth said that with the attention of Samdech Techo HUN SEN, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Svay Rieng province has grown remarkably with the industrial sector, especially the Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Bavet city is the center of SEZs, factories, casinos and enterprises. This area has been growth for a decade and it will become a center of economic development for the province as well as for the whole country. Since the SEZs have been developed, we have noticed that there are so many employment opportunities and internship which need our university (SRU) to recruit graduates and students for employment in various skills and positions.
This first Career Day, there are nearly 300 positions needed from six enterprises such as Sathapana Limited, Amret Microfinance Institution, LOLC, CGTI, KoLao Group, Sanfeng Cambodia, and more. There are over 600 participants and they all applied for job placement from from those enterprises.... Date:24 May, 2019 The 2nd Career Day under the theme of "Job Opportunities and Internship" held at SRU on June 14, 2018 was presided over by His Excellency Hou Vathanak, Deputy Governor of Svay Rieng province and His Excellency Tum Saravuth, Rector of Svay Rieng University. This event was organized by the University-Enterprise Centre (UEC) of Svay Rieng University (SRU) collaborating with the Job Center of Svay Rieng province to give students the opportunity to find job and internships.
HE. Tum Saravuth, Rector of SRU, said that youth should strengthen their capacities as well as try their best to find information in accordance with current and future progress to get a decent job opportunity. Mr. Hem Puthi, Head of Job Center of Svay Rieng province, added that there were several activities which the center had been done such as job recruitment, matching the job seekers to the employers, organizing the training and workshop for employability, organizing the meeting between employers, companies, enterprises with students and job seekers, organizing the Job Fair and Career Day for students at the university and vocational training institutes and announcing the job opportunities and internship for the public. UEC and Job Center of Svay Rieng province always collaborate and make effort to help students, graduates and people to get the job both full-time and part-time job as well as to enhance them to get a good job, good work conditions and high salary. Date:31 Dec, 2018 The 3rd Career Day under the theme of "Job Opportunities and Internship" held at SRU on December 08, 2018 was presided over by His Excellency Heng Soknang, Member of Board of Trustees of Svay Rieng University and Mr. Loek Virak, Vice Rector of Svay Rieng University. This event was organized by the University-Enterprise Centre (UEC) of Svay Rieng University (SRU) collaborating with the Job Center of Svay Rieng province to give students the opportunity to find job and internships.
HE. Heng Soknang, Member of Board of Trustees of SRU, said that this event is very important for providing the job opportunity within the province, especially to create an opportunity to meet up between the employers and the job seekers, to understand the job information and to listen to employers presentation about their requirement and job announcement. This Career Day plays an important roles to provide the benefits on labor requirement and it is a mechanism on employment development following the Government policy. He added that Svay Rieng province is full of investors in all sectors such as factories, banks, micro-finance institutions, casinos, entertainment services and others entreprises which will need so many labors approximately 200,000 laborers in the future. Mr. Leok Virak, Vice rector of SRU, added that all students must strengthen their own capacity on learning foreign languages, computer skills, administrative skills and other short courses. Anyway, students should be careful to find the job announcement and job information and try to apply for those jobs if needed high salary. Funded by Hub4Growth, UEC endeavours to promote the training course of Career Opportunity and CV Writing. It aims at augmenting students for capabilities and competencies in writing vital information that looks and sounds highly professional.
